We’re back! We are now in our 11th year of the DISSTA Program in Valladolid, Spain. This summer we have a great group of 27 students from The University of Akron.
We left for Madrid on Saturday and arrived Sunday. Once we got to Valladolid, the students met their host families and went back to their new homes for the next month. On Monday, we took a tour of the city with one of the Uva professors, Ivan. He took us to some of the major sights in Valladolid.
We saw the Iglesia de la Magdalena, which has the largest escudo (shield) in the world.
We then made our way to one of the oldest buildings of the University of Valladolid building- built in 1715.
We went through the Pasaje Gutierrez
And then finally ended our tour in the Plaza Mayor.
